Reporting to the PB Senior Manager this role contributes to the overall success of the Private Banking – Operations, Sales Support & Projects team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Assist the PB Senior Manager working on business initiatives by conducting research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, and liaising with applicable users and stakeholders.

  • Actively participates in the development and maintenance of dashboard reporting for non-financial data (e.g., training, client and employee surveys, referrals), generating related insights.

  • Support the creation and maintenance of project, learning and resource centre documents, tracking updates and ensuring future sustainability and usability.

  • Provide business support by responding to ad hoc queries, providing guidance to user process, and assisting with the implementation of process enhancements.

  • Ensuring manager is kept informed, and that problems and issues are escalated appropriately.

  • Provide post implementation project/dashboard support ensuring knowledge transfer is transition successfully to the day-to-day support team by way of documenting process, performing demonstration and training.

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:

 

  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills in order to work effectively with end users and members of the department and team.

  • Excellent command of MS Office Suite applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent command of Power BI.

  • Experience in data science and generating data insights.

  • Works well under time constraints and can prioritize competing tasks appropriately. Adaptable and flexible to a rapidly changing environment where priorities can be shifted from time to time.

  • Self-motivate with excellent active listening skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail and results oriented.
