Role Overview:
The Special Education Teacher – Vista School is responsible for the operation of one classroom, supervising, planning, instructing, setting goals and objectives, writing report cards, Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and other miscellaneous reports. The position will keep parents, and the Program Director informed regarding their assigned students' educational progress.
Qualifications:
- Must have a California issued Education Specialist Credential Mild/Moderate with AAAS (Added Autism Authorization);
- OR a California issued Education Specialist Credential Moderate/Severe.
- Experience working with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
What You Bring to VDM:
- BA/BS degree with approved teaching credential.
- Ability to work with the emotionally disturbed and teach handicapped and/or autistic children ages 6 to 22 years old.
- California issued Education Specialist Credential Mild/Moderate with AAAS (Added Autism Authorization), or a California issued Education Specialist Credential Moderate/Severe.
- A valid CA driver's license, current automobile insurance.
- May be required to obtain a class B driver's license.
- COVID Vaccination Card (fully vaccinated) required.

Salary: $64,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
