The IT Enterprise Platforms Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in the dynamic field of IT strategic planning, cost management, and governance within a global manufacturing environment. Supporting the CIO Chief of Staff, this role offers exposure to high-level decision-making processes and the opportunity to contribute to critical IT initiatives. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while providing accurate data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic IT Planning:

Assist in gathering and analyzing data to support the development and execution of IT strategic plans aligned with Celestica’s overall business objectives.

Participate in strategic planning meetings and contribute to documentation and presentations, ensuring deliverables are met on time.
Cost Tracking and Analysis:
-
Utilize strong data analysis skills to track and analyze IT costs, including capital and operational expenditures.

Maintain complex cost models and dashboards to provide actionable insights into IT spending patterns and trends, potentially leveraging tools like Google Sheets for flexibility and collaboration.
IT Governance:
-
Gain an understanding of IT governance frameworks and policies within Celestica.

Participate in IT governance meetings and contribute to documentation and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Overall IT Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the Chief of Staff to the CIO, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other communication materials, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in special projects and assignments as needed, adapting to changing priorities and tight timelines. Preferred Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or other data analysis tools.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, specifically Google Docs and Slides.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in IT strategy, cost management, and governance. Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
- Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).
