The Internal Events Intern will report to the Senior Events Specialist and assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of events.

The Core Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Administration - 70 %
  • Maintains accurate and up‐to‐date records and files for all event management projects.
  • Maintains current information in corporate databases for business contacts, department-specific databases, relevant sponsors and vendor lists.
  • Creates proposals, contracts and invoices for internal clients, sponsors and vendors.
  • Develops event specific organizational tools such as internal event guides, in-office and offsite event standards & guidelines.
  • Provides research support and completes tasks required for event execution.
  • Assists with managing the Internal Events mailbox, including responding to inquiries and sending invitations.
  • Assists with gathering and compiling outstanding supporting documents related to events, such as post-event Q&As, follow-up surveys, and more.
  • Provides key support to overall team operations by planning internal staff meetings, preparing meeting agenda, recording discussions and providing follow up reports.
  • Event Coordination - 30 %
  • Assist with visiting venue to plan layout of seating, décor, and A/V requirements.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations.
  • Research venue, attend site visits, negotiate and secure event space.
  • Schedule speakers, vendors, and participants.
  • Liaise with Equitable Bank Facilities and Human Resources team where required.

  • Currently enrolled in University or College program (Events Planning or Event-related program is preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge in event/activity planning and implementation in a project team environment would be an asset
  • Strong written and communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with working in a hybrid environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds + and comfortable with physical tasks.
  • Travel to events is required, car not needed but an asset.
  • Must be able to be motivated to work on tasks independently.

The Work: We are seeking a Modern Workplace Analyst Intern to join our Modern Workplace team at Canada’s Challenger Bank. As an intern, you'll play a vital role in supporting and improving the user experience across various endpoints within the bank, including laptops, mobile devices, and cloud solutions. Your focus will be on enhancing end-user experiences and streamlining service delivery processes to minimize incidents related to planned changes.

As a member of the Modern Workplace team, you will also collaborate and partner with different stakeholders to create policies, processes, and application deployments that meet the goals of the Digital Workspace Strategy. Work Term: September 2nd - December 26th, 2025

The Core Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing physical endpoints using tools like Intune and Autopilot.
  • Support the management of Nerdio, workspaces, and auto-scaling for efficient resource utilization.
  • Help configure, deploy, and maintain the Azure Virtual Desktop environment.
  • Assist in deploying Microsoft and third-party updates to active endpoints using Intune and other relevant tools.
  • Participate in building co-managed Windows 11 environments using Intune.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Defense Centre to configure endpoint management policies and maintain security configurations.
  • Assist in configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting endpoint-related Group Policy and Intune Policies.
  • Participate in vulnerability remediation efforts and tabletop exercises as directed by ISRM.
  • Monitor endpoint performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for endpoint support and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain Azure AVD reports and communicate cost and usage to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Collaboration Specialists to identify opportunities for enhancing user experience.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes using workflows, ITSM platforms, or scripting.
  • Test and deploy new hardware, software, OS, or configuration changes following change management protocols.

  • Currently pursuing post-secondary education in IT or a relevant field.
  • Basic understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop implementation and support.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Mobility and Security services, Microsoft Azure, and AAD.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS, MS Office applications, and endpoint management tools.
  • Understanding of ITIL v4 principles and experience with Asset Management systems.
  • Basic experience with Intune policies, CIS hardening tools, and Azure AD Connect.
  • Knowledge of advanced security and compliance services such as Microsoft 365 Defender.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and problem management is a plus.

The Intern will also become familiar with the Bank’s established policies and underwriting standards as well as federal compliance regulations while finding creative solutions to achieve customer service goals and internal volume targets.

The Core Responsibilities Of the Job:

  • 60% on a daily basis, the Intern will analyze and underwrite CMHC-insured commercial mortgage loans and perform annual reviews of the portfolio of CMHC insured loans. Time will be divided between the two areas as business demands require. Attention must be made to ensure that compliance with the company’s established lending guidelines and procedures are followed with recommendations submitted for approval to management. The incumbent is responsible to ensure all lending criteria have been satisfied on deals underwritten and outstanding documentation/conditions, if any, are being met in a timely manner
  • 10% on a daily basis, the incumbent will communicate with external contacts (origination partners) and internal contacts (funders, managers, administrators) to ensure mortgage loan transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner in order to deliver superior customer service and meet required funding deadlines.
  • 10% on a daily basis, the incumbent is responsible for time management of their deal flow in order to meet prescribed deadlines.
  • 20% on a weekly basis, the Intern will assist with various credit-related and administrative duties such as reporting, pipeline management and ad-hoc projects
