Marketing Intern

Trellis Marketing, Inc., a full service ad agency, is looking for a Marketing Intern interested in providing support to the Business Manager. Activities include (but are not limited to) research, presentation, building reports, digital analysis, and special projects. There will be additional exposure to all divisions of an advertising agency including account management, digital planning, social media strategy and execution, media buying, and the creative process. This individual has the ability to provide valuable support and gain real world experience. We are looking for someone ready to jump in and problem solve critical tasks.

Direct Report: Business Manager

Intern duties would include the following:

  • Learning about and working directly with digital products
  • Analyzing and preparing draft client communications from multiple digital sources/reports
  • Assisting with client management
  • Assisting with public relations efforts including online listings and writing press releases
  • Conducting web-based and other types of research
  • Entering and tracking various forms of data
  • Assisting with creating client proposals (as requested)
  • Assisting with online file management, organizing, and special projects
  • Providing general administrative support to digital marketing team and business manager
  • Engagement with Trellis’ digital footprint and promotion including Local Listings, Website, YouTube, Email, Social Media, Public Relations, etc.
  • Attending team meetings, note-taking, and follow-up as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Computer/Work Environment/Communications
Work is mostly remote with the possibility of a few in-person meetings. Competent or able to quickly acclimate to working in online software programs including MS Office (excel spreadsheets, powerpoint, adobe), basecamp, constant contact, better proposals, GSuite, dropbox, online cloud, etc. Must possess your own equipment, internet, mobile phone.

Time Commitment
Flexible part-time on average of 15 hours per week, depending on the candidate. Agency hours are M-Thu 8am-5pm, & Fri 8am-12pm – all remote unless otherwise noted.

Business Development Intern

Trellis Marketing, Inc., a full service ad agency, is looking for a Business Development Intern interested in providing support to the Director of Business Development. Activities include (but are not limited to) client research, calls and emails, scheduling, and participation in client meetings as requested. In this role, there will be additional exposure to all divisions of an advertising agency including account management, digital planning, social media strategy and execution, media buying, and the creative process. This individual has the ability to provide valuable support and gain real world experience. We are looking for someone ready to jump in and problem solve critical tasks.

Direct Report: Director of Business Development

Intern duties would include the following:

  • Research prospective clients with input on account strategy
  • Outreach via phone and email to prospective clients
  • Assist with the creation of proposals
  • Assist in onboarding new clients.
  • Develop pre-meeting profiles of prospective clients
  • Create post-meeting notes/recaps for prospective clients
  • Regular update meetings with Director of Business Development
  • Note taking as requested
  • Ad hoc projects as requested
  • Attend team and client meetings as requested (and based on availability)
  • Assist other departments as directed.
  • Support account management and production as as directed.

  • Sleuth skills to glean information by searching past files, posts, emails, details, as well as asking probing questions.
  • Excellent ability to synthesize actions or "To Do's" from multiple inputs.
  • Fearless when it comes to new client research, outreach, analysis, and opportunities.
  • Perform administrative duties and functions requiring confidentiality, initiative, and sound decision-making.
  • Daily communication by phone (text and email) including active follow-up and to dos.
  • Quick learner who is smart, eager, inquisitive, competent, with a strong work ethic.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Multi-tasker with common sense and diligence to follow through.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solver, excellent time management.
  • Confidentiality is a MUST.
  • Automobile with applicable insurance or ability to travel to specified locations/meetings.
