This is a temporary long-term position with a minimum commitment of 24 months with the opportunity to extend to a permanent position.

This RN position is located in the USA. To qualify for work authorization in the USA, a current Canadian passport, USA passport or Green Card is required. We do not have the ability to sponsor.

  • Open to experienced and New Grad RNs who have graduated with their BScN within the last 12 months
  • New Grad Residency Program available for RNs who graduated with their BScN, and became a nurse for the first time within the last 12 months

Experienced RNs-1-2 years current RN experience required for Med Surg floor position.

Experience

  • New grad who completed initial nursing BScN education with in the last 12 months
  • Experienced RNs considered for all acute care units - Must have current experience on similar unit.
  • IENs with minimum 1 year of current RPN, LPN, RN, within the last 24 months in Canada or the USA - Current experience must be with direct patient care in a hospital or LTC setting.

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various acute care hospital units. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
  • Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Cerner.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality.
  • Participate in pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort.
  • Assist in laboratory procedures and understand medical terminology relevant to patient care.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

Skills

  • Proficient in pain management techniques and strategies.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Experience in assisted living environments is preferred.
  • Strong background in patient care across various settings, including pediatrics and hospital care.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures relevant to nursing practice.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.

Relocation and Housing

  • For those relocating, up to $1500 reimbursement to cover VisaScreen, licensing, etc., expenses
  • 1 month of hotel stay provided upon arrival
  • Housing team to assist with locating accommodation and orientation to area
  • $12,000 bonus paid 50% at 3 weeks after commencement of employment, 50% after 12 months of employment based on a minimum 24 month commitment

Qualifications

Additional or Preferred Qualifications* One year of classroom or work experience in financial risk analysis preferred.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Formal training in program management and process management, process improvement, business strategy and/or operations
  • Ability to understand business metrics, customer, and market trends.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills

Intern - Co-Op- The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $4,500 per month.
