As a Trade Floor Technology Consultant (Full Stack Developer), you will work on Scotiabank’s trade floor, providing full stack web development of applications and enhancement of web-based systems. As part of the Global Banking & Markets, Trade Floor Support & Automation team, you will analyze business processes, liaise with various groups within the bank, develop web-based systems, and design user interfaces to meet business needs. You will use state of the art web development technologies, including working with large datasets, bulk editing, advanced reporting, workflow notifications, APIs, web security, and intelligent prediction using analytics/machine learning.

Job Description
As part of the MLSE’s Red Vertical Team, you will have the unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Red Vertical Team’s creative producers in the execution of content across a variety of different categories, including brand initiatives, network programming, game presentation, and social media efforts. You will primarily work within Scotiabank Arena but will often help coordinate and complete projects off-site.

MLSE's Internship term dates are from January 6, 2025 - April 25, 2025
Support the team with researching, planning, and implementing organizational wide employee events, programs & initiatives
Provide communications support, including the creation of executive and non-executive level presentations and messaging
Update employee communication channels as needed to ensure clarity across MLSE on available tools and resources
Proactively identify ways to increase engagement in workplace initiatives and events
Assist in the coordination and administration of MLSE recognition programs, employee events, learning & development sessions, and recruitment fairs
Support research on employee experience to advise the development of future programs and initiatives
Provide administrative data entry support such as record keeping, maintenance of records and files and other service functions as required
Complete duties aligned to MLSE service standards and policies
Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution studying Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Psychology or Related Field.
Expert in Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); comfortable providing updates to senior leadership in PPT, using data insights acquired through Excel and responding in a timeline manner to emails via Outlook
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and visual) to collaborate with team members across all levels
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple projects / programs with challenging timelines
Creative, thoughtful and engaged approach to optimizing organizational culture initiatives
Accountable for accuracy and timeliness of work within the department
Personal integrity when handling confidential information
Growth mindset, with curiosity to learn more about HR
Familiarity with HR Software (Workday & SmartRecruiter) an asset
Previous internship experience in an HR related field is an asset

As a Trade Floor Technology Consultant (Full Stack Developer), you will work on Scotiabank’s trade floor, providing full stack web development of applications and enhancement of web-based systems. As part of the Global Banking & Markets, Trade Floor Support & Automation team, you will analyze business processes, liaise with various groups within the bank, develop web-based systems, and design user interfaces to meet business needs. You will use state of the art web development technologies, including working with large datasets, bulk editing, advanced reporting, workflow notifications, APIs, web security, and intelligent prediction using analytics/machine learning.
